AYUDH PEACE PRAYER
On the occasion of the International United Nations Peace-One-Day on September 21st 2008, AYUDH (Amma’s youth) groups worldwide connected via the internet to pray for world peace and harmony.
At 9am Amritapuri time the connection was launched between youth from India, America, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Poland and Finland. After a very hearty and happy greeting the youngsters chanted 108 times “Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu” - “May all beings in all worlds be happy.”
The goal of the UN Peace-One-Day is to establish one day a year where there is ceasefire, where everyone works towards establishing world peace, in whatever way they can.
Just like Amma herself said on the occation of Peace-One-Day 2004:”There should be one day where there is no violence, no one is injured, no one is harmed. This is my dream, this is my prayer. Love is the answer, love is the way.”
May Amma’s Prayer become reality soon. May the youth pray with their hearts and work with their hands to create a future of hope, peace and unity.

Yeah, I should have come. These kind of group prayers always make me feel that we can do something to invoke a change in the world. Something special happens in a way…
