The AYUDH members came together on the 23rd November 2008 to greet this year’s new faces at a Japanese restaurant in Central London by Tower Hill. The weather was freezing but the warmth of noodles sure warmed us up along with the warmth of our hearts indulging in schemes and plans for the year ahead. It was a lively evening, with chop-stick humour. We had our own table top entertainment with a magician amongst us. We soon learnt how to make a cup dispear into thin air! Conversations were bubbling and flowing in various and creative directions while a sense of deeper unity and actual possibilities opened up.  We had colourful japanese dishes including dumplings, rice, curry sauce and nooldes not to mention of course ginger cheescake and coconut icecream at the end. To top it all off we had the joy of using chopsticks, but lucky for us they also provided spoons. At the end we wafted along the riverside with the Tower of London as a back drop and were all left with a sense of excitement of things to follow in the year ahead.
