AYUDH Germany – Holidays with disabled children
From April 26 – 29th, 2011, M.A. Center Germany was filled with lively laughter, shouting and singing of seven disabled children and young people. Dirk Schreilechner and Nina Knobloch, from the outpatient service of a well-known social service situated close by organized a camp. Unlike other camps this time the aim was to mix with young people without disabilities. Young people from AYUDH, but also adults who were on Hof Herrenberg, participated actively in the bright days with the children.
The program included interactive games to get to know each other, shared masks crafts, nature walks and evening singing. Here, some children did particularly prominent. The evening singing even inspired them to dance.
A highlight was the last day. In the morning we went on a wagon ride in the beautiful area of ??the area of Breuberg. Then there was a picnic at the castle Breuberg. Some children dared to climb the tower, which, at a slight walking disability is already a great adventure! The extra-long slide on the slope required some courage. As a reward, there was an ice cream.
In the evening we lit a campfire. Some of the children shared their musical gifts with us. Without fear, they took the guitar and sang about what they could think of. Continue…
